The “Not” January Blues
Good Lovely January Morning:

Respectfully, there are those of us who do “not” get the January blues. There are those of us who are “not” depressed by the quiet of January, or February.

Even as a younger person, I could not wait for the chaos of Christmas, with its obligatory merry-makings and gatherings, to be over. I do, however, love a little Christmas, and I thoroughly enjoy visits with my chosen few family and friends. I also love buying little thoughtful gifts for friends. However, I am quite happy to put it all away, and I really do enjoy the quiet, restful time deep in the winter months, when nature is also at its rest.

There are those of us who embrace this time of year. Conversely, I do understand that a lot of folks suffer with the blues. My own beloved grandmother suffered from Seasonal Affected Disorder (SAD).  That said, I grow weary of all the talk of the "gloomy" days, the "bad" weather, and being "stuck" inside, of which none describes folks like me.

Even during the winter, as an ElderDog Canada dog foster, going for walks and car rides are always on the agenda.
Even with the pandemic far behind us, I enjoy parking lot coffee dates with my human friends even in the deep of winter. Smokers can smoke in their cars, while our dogs can enjoy being with us.
Where there is a winter will, there is a winter way.

Being very happy around animals is also another big win for me.

I just wanted to drop in and respectfully share that not all is doom and gloom in the depths of winter.

I wish you all a lovely winter’s nap.
